It seems like I have liked In and Out Burgers forever!But I haven't. It was just a short time ago, while Leo and I were dating, 14 years to be exact. That I was introduced to these FABULOUS burgers and fries. (For those of you that know - Leo grew up in So. Calif. so he has grown up on In and Out) - I will never forget, when we were eating them, I asked Leo for some fry sauce, and he said what is fry sauce??? After I explained, he then told me, that is just a Utah thing, In and Out does not have fry sauce, just ketchup. I still believe that with their FRESH CUT FRIES, fry sauce would be awesome on them. But I am not allowed to try... In and Out fries must only be ate with ketchup!!
So how excited are we that we FINALLY have In and Out in Salt Lake???? EXTREMELY!!
I first heard about this about a year ago when I learned that they had opened a distribution center in Las Vegas that they were going to expand into Eastern Arizona and into SLC, UT.
See - In and Out has a policy that everything is FRESH.. the burgers are NOT FROZEN, the fries are cut right from potato's there in the store and spun and then fried. To keep it fresh, any given restaurant must not be more than 500 miles (legal days drive time) from the distribution center. Hence - the reason for SLC!! They have a little distribution center down in Draper that the trucks from Vegas deliver to, then the little trucks deliver to the stores!
