Re-cap of 2011

WOW - I cannot believe that the year has gone by this fast! SO much has happened this year! There were a lot of good, then there was the bad. But you know, you have to have the bad with the good right? Then it make the good even better!!

In January we celebrated Ryan's 14th birthday. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger by the day. However in Jan he was NOT as tall as me! Ryan is such a good kid. Although he is hitting that mouthy teenager stage that we all go through. He is always helping me and his dad. He is very kind and polite, and treats others with respect. We love him!

Jr. Jazz was in full swing. Only Aynsley played this year. But it still kept us busy!

February was a horrible month for us. Like I said you have to write the bad with the good!!
I got up and went to work on February 10th and by 8:30am I was back home. YES - upon arriving at work they let me catch up the nightly problems and then called me into the office and "let me go".
I was completely blindsided, my head was spinning I didn't know what in the world to think. Leo was at work, I called him and gave him the "wonderful" news.
AND by 9:00 I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and decided to make the best out of the situation.

Yes there were many fears, I was making fabulous money. Now it was gone. But I was determined to move along. We scrimped , we scraped, we cut back, and we got through it!
I look back at me losing my job as a blessing, although at the time I did not think that it was. I am now closer to Leo, my kids. I really honestly believe it was meant to be to make me slow down and be there for them!

Jr. Jazz continued on in February too, and Baseball sign ups started. OH and lets not forget - I became a CHEER MOM!!

March is always a busy month and this one proved to be following right on track.
Aynsley preformed in the Sociable with her cheer group. They made all SIX children's performances which made for a really long day down at the high school. It was very fun for her and her cheer group they did a wonderful job!
Baseball tryouts are always the week of the Sociable, and being the league secretary proves this week to be very hectic!
At the end of March, we took the kids to So. Cal to the NASCAR Fontana Race. Ryan had received tickets for his birthday it was a quick but FUN trip!!

Leo had a birthday while we were there on the trip, ANNND WE had an anniversary of 15 years!

OH YEA - and we remodeled our bathroom... we got rid of the crap-tastic one piece surround shower/tub and put in a porcelain tub and tiled the wall.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!  And did a small remodel of the laundry room. We added cabinets and painted the laundry/hallway/half bath downstairs! (hey all I had was time on my hands, I wasn't getting any interviews!)

Here is the Laundry room cabinets

ONLY pic I have of this..I lost verb..under wash..dont judge

April came as fast as it went. We had Opening Day for Baseball, first game under the lights. It was awesome! It was a great day in my small town.
Easter was late this year, but COLD! It was a good day, time spent with family and of course the Easter Bunny.

May is when things started to change! I found a job at Western Technologies. Just doing an office doobie job... I love the job. Working with a YOUNG twit person has proven to be challenging, but I have worked through it.

June was a big month for me. I reached the top of the hill.. yes the big 40! Wasn't as bad as I thought. The week before my birthday though I was sort of/kind of in a funk. But I got through it.
Closing day for Baseball also came around... I was sad to see it end. I offically retired from the board. After 4 years it was time to hand over the secretary job to someone else.

July was a big month!! My sister-in-law came down from Idaho for the 4th of July. We hung out and play some minute to win it games and BBQ'd at my moms. We had a water fight, it was a blast!! We love a good water fight!
Ryan left for a week to Football camp - that was a LONG week. I worried and worried about him... but he arrived back home safely and with an awesome tan line across his calves from his football pants!
The Grantsville Major League All-Stars - well they WON STATE!!  It was an AMAZING game to be at!! We had a ton of people there from Grantsville... it helped the championship game was just up in Tooele!
Then as a baseball board we started a week long task of raising money to get the boys to AZ for regionals... In one week as a community and a baseball team, together we raised over 10k for the boys. It was AMAZING and I was so so proud to be a part of it!!

In August, Aynsley celebrated her BIG 10th birthday!! We painted and decorated her room for her for her birthday - she loves it!!
the pink is supposed to be on bottom - dont judge

And then in August we had another monumental milestone in our lives
RYAN STARTED HIGH SCHOOL and had his first EVER Football game for High School...
Man did Leo and I feel old then!!
He started LEFT TACKLE for the Freshman team - We are so proud of him and what he accomplished this year. And we look forward to the next 3 years playing JV and Varsity!

September was filled with more Football on Thursdays and Fridays. Tom and Capi came up from California for a visit and we took off to Moab for Labor Day weekend. It was a blast! We were so busy all weekend! We look forward to a longer weekend next time and slower!

October was filled with MORE Football and MORE Football - I helped each Friday home game during the Varsity games with the prize give-a-way. I guess you could say, I joined the boosters... and I LOVED IT!! I cant wait for next year!
My brother came in town on TDY ( he is over on Qtar right now) and I took pictures of our flammy.. FIRST TIME EVER!!
We headed to California at the end of October and spent Halloween with Tom and Capi. We went to Disneyland and China Town. It was a good visit and FUN!!

November life seemed to slow down a bit. Work slowed so I was only working 6 hours a day and enjoyed the slower pace. We had Thanksgiving at my Moms. Leo worked day shift that day. It was weird with out him there.

And then December came - Aynsley had a Christmas dance performance. It was so cute! I have said it before and I will say it again - I love being a dance Mom!
Christmas was fast approaching. I helped my Mom decorate for her ward party.

I made a few CRAFTY things this year - I was rather proud of myself!

I also Mrs Clause actually made a new quilt for Aynsley for Christmas. I love the way it turned out. I really wanted one at Pottery Barn but it was 300 plus dollars, well with my hours being cut back at work (seasonal) I decided to make one... for 90 bucks by the way!

So as the year comes to a close - I hope that my millions few followers had a great year. I hope that you could see the good in the bad like I did... and I hope and pray for a better year next year!
LOVE TO ALL

My new LOVE aka my CRUSH

OK - let me first put a disclaimer out there ** I love my husband **

Now that is out there. I have to tell you about this man -
His name is Tim. Tim Tebow that is!!
I have been following this guy since he played for Urban Meyer at Florida, and he won the Heisman.
He is not the best quarterback out there - he needs some work. But off the field, he is the most compassionate caring person. And what he does for the Tebow Foundation is amazing.
And how he stands up for his faith and what he believes in, is also amazing!! I JUST LOVE HIM!!

He has done some amazing things over in Denver!! And I look forward to some great things out of Denver  with Tim on the front line and John in the office running things!!
