FIRST DAY of SCHOOL!!

This year we have decided to for-go the public school system and the kids were picked to go to Tooele County's first charter school. Excelsior Academy.
At first they were a little apprehensive about it. Not being with their friends, uniforms...etc etc.
They are adapting very well, I think that they realized that it is just a normal school that focuses more on educating them. They are going with their good friends Brooklynn and Bridger and found that there are a lot more of their friends there than they realized.

Here are some pic's of the 1st day of school! Aynsley 3rd grade!!Ryan 7th grade!!
I must say uniforms are the only way to go!! This had to have been the easiest school shopping ever!!

Aynsley has a Birthday

Aynsley is officially 8 years old! It was her year to have a friend party, so we invited her 5 closest friends over and took them bowling! She had a great time! Here are Payton, Brooklynn, Melynda, and Hillary with Aynsley. It was comical however they all had 10 pound balls and could barely throw them. Then on Sunday we had everyone come over for cake and ice cream - Leo had to work that day so we had to have it a little late and wait for him to get home. She received a lot of nice things, clothes of course from Gramma (apparently Gramma is the only one who knows what to buy for her..) and clothes from Nanny, and a gift card from Gramma E.
The one thing that she wanted from Mom and Dad - an American Girl Doll. So although it took all her bidget for her birthday, she got it!!It has brown hair just like her, green eyes(well sorta like her..thats the closest to her color). She love it!
Happy Birthday LooLoo - and I pray that your prayers and desires will be answered! LOVE YOU!!

Good Football News!!

Well it is official - Ryan made the "A"team this year for football! With the Stansbury split it opened up some spots on the "A"team. He worked hard this summer going to conditioning classes and one on one training with my dear friend Mike. And it paid off!! He was sooo happy when they told him that he had been picked for the team!
His confidence has gone through the roof, he told me he loves being on this team because he feels like for the first time he is being coached! He loves football and is so excited to be a part of this awesome team!

Ryan is between Clay#35 and Dallin #17. This was at our little scrimmage against Tooele. We stomped all over them! The team looks good this year! It is going to be awesome!

Vacation

So this year for vacation we kinda did a "staycation". We went to St George for a couple of days. I know I know, who in the heck goes to St. George in the middle of July! We did!! But we had fun!
We went for a drive through a small part of Bryce Canyon. We had never been through there. We headed over to the Grand Escalante Stair Case. It is always cool to see the awesome rock formations. And an interesting piece of tid-bit - I finally made it through Tropic, UT. My Uncle is from there and I have always heard about Tropic, but I have never been through there. Now I know where Uncle Glade grew up, and I dont know why my Aunt Karolyn would not want to move there, it is beautiful!
Here is Leo and Aynsley in the Monument on one of the little trails that we hiked on.

Leo and Ryan too!
Here is an awesome double arch that we drove to - I love how all the formations are just naturally formed over thousands and thousands of years. Make you really stop and think that we are really only here for a blink of time!

Another cool rock formation

I took this picture with my camera on the flower setting - I love how it turned out!
One night we went over to Tuchan theater and saw FOOTLOOSE!! It was awesome. Aynsley has never been to a play besides school plays and she was just amazed by the production. When Wren does his solo dance -(in the movie the part where he is doing his dance thru the vacant rail building to Never) at the end of the solo Aynsley screams - whooooo! it was too cute, she was way into it! Then also at the end of the production she screamed again and says to me -"Mom that was awesome!" So now I guess I am going to have to take her back to Tarzan next year! Except we will go in the Spring!
Then the next day we went over to Vegas, the kids were bugging us to go to M&M world and Coke world. Then Leo and Ryan did the Nascar experience - rode the roller coaster and the race simulator.
We had fun and it was soooo nice to have a week off!!
