Well Life Got Ahead of Us! Part 2

So where did I leave off - Oh yea... my brother came to visit... This isn't the best picture of all of us - but I have to say - this is the first picture in about 5 years of all of us together - Mom - Dad - Nan - Me and Nathan - yes Natalie and Nathan are twins..no they are not identical...(you wouldn't believe how many people ask me when I tell them that my brother and sister are twins) Here is all of the grand kids all together at once - AMAZING!!

Then Aynsley's birthday came and went - I didn't even blog about her "best birthday" present ever!! Her own sewing machine!!
I should have blogged about Aynsley's first fish ever!!

THEN..... this happened - FOOTBALL! And of course my time was even shorter!! Ryan played for a wonderful Coach here in Grantsville - Scott Barrus - who is just fabulous!! He started at Left Tackle again - he is #77!!
I of course needed to blog about Aynsley's 5th year in a row of performing at half time for mini cheer! But I didnt!
SO we are still alive we have had a nice fall - a visit from Uncle Tom and Aunt Capi - was great!
FOOTBALL has come and gone - with Ryan making it to the playoffs and losing in a heartbreaking TRIPLE OVERTIME!!

The past 6 months have been great - we cant wait to see what the next 6 are like - this time - I promise I will blog about it!!!

Here is a suggestion UDOT.......

OK - Last week was a BAD commute week - LIKE real BAD !!
First there was the FIRE!! It closed I-80 and 201 - no one could get INTO or OUT OF Tooele County - Yea I could have gone ALLLL the way around to Lehi - but I did not want to.. too many miles, and I had just gone that way over the weekend to my cousins wedding.
SOOO
I opted to stay in SLC and wait for the road to open - I got off work at my normal 3:00 - went and picked up Ryan's new glasses.

Listening to KSL the whole time - you know they do traffic every 10 minutes on the 9's!! I then made my way back to West Valley and STILL nothing - its 4:15 now - COME ON!! I have a hair appt in Grantsville at 5:00 - this is not happening!!!Well the road is closed - can't get through - OK FINE!! - I will call Amanda and let her know I am not going to make it.... aarrgg my roots are showing...

SO now I have my hair appt canceled - just sitting there waiting for them to open the road - then those magical words come over, (on one of the 9's) - 201 is open!! I make a bee-line down 56th and get on the 201!! Whew! smooth sailing TILL I get to the middle of Kennecott - now we are all backed up trying to get through and get home - bumper to bumper all the way to the Lake Point light!!! aargg again - I just want to get home - please!!!
Finally I get home - at 5:45 - safe and sound - hair appt canceled - dinner ready to go however - YEA me - Leo made dinner for us!!

Well then the very very next day - SNOW BLEK!!! This commute didn't take me as long a the day before - but I still didn't get home till 4:45 - but I left at 3:30!
AND then - the very next morning -WHITE OUT going to work - one lane plowed on 201 through Kennecott... aarrggg - I give up! An hour and 15 minutes to work - please! I am sick of traffic problems!!

SO - here is my suggestion to UDOT - Tooele County needs another road to and from Salt Lake County -
Lets build a tunnel

right there at the Stansbury Light - just go right through the mountain to the other side - We will come out at about 5400 so. and Bacchus Highway - EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY!!!

NO snow in the tunnel - No fires in the tunnel - make it 2 lanes - BOTH ways !! With a lane in the middle for Emergency personnel - HECK make it a TOLL ROAD - I would pay it!!
PLEASE UDOT - PLEASE!!!
My hair appt isn't till the 17th now - aarrgg - when you see me don't laugh at my roots please - I know that they are BAD!!

What do you want to be when you grow up??

Everyone has had the question asked... What do you want to be when you grow up?

A long long long time ago, in High School I wanted to be an Emergency Room Nurse...well we all know how that one turned out!! It didn't!!!
I completely ended up on the other end of the spectrum... transportation, trucking of all things!! LOL :)

When you ask Ryan he tells you that he wants to work for the DWR. He loves to be out in the wild. He loves to fish and hunt. I think that he will perfect at it!

Now Aynsley, she is all girl! For a while when you asked her, what do you want to be when you grow up? She would tell you she wanted to be a cheerleader! OK - that is fine.... I could support that, as long as it wasn't a skimpy uniform!

Now when you ask Aynsley what she wants to be when she grows up - She tells you that she wants to be a "dress designer", she is constantly drawing this girl and different variations of "the dress".
Today she comes down from her room and she shows me her "newest" design - it is called "messy". You can't really tell but there are messy squiggles all over the dress! And LARGE!! She drew it on her easel she tells me!

Kids - there are so innocent! I love it!! I wonder what the next couple of years will bring - it what they want to be when they grow up!!
