Weekend in So. Calif

It all started 3 months ago... Ryan got tickets to a NASCAR race for his birthday. He had been bugging us to go.. and we kept telling him that he was not old enough to go, that it was adults only!  (sometimes a race should be adults only!  LOL )

So for his birthday, we gave him a Tony Stewart Jacket and inside the jacket we had his tickets to the Fontana Calif race. He was stoked!!

Then 2 weeks later, I lost my job. I was stressed on how in the heck I was going to get Ryan to Calif to enjoy his birthday present. Things just seem to fall into place and I stashed some money aside for the trip!  Thank goodness the tickets had already been bought!!

SO fast forward now to the end of March, and we head out to California. It had been raining all week in Los Angeles but the storm should be past us for the race.

Sunday the day of the race we leave Tom and Capi's early because our tickets came with pit passes. And what do ya know... rain the whole way to Fontana!!  Are you kidding me!!  We get there and walk to the pits - there was not much going on due to the drizzle, but it was cool to be back there. (word to the wise - Las Vegas pit passes are way extremely better, because you are in the garages! Fontana you only get pit road!)

We had great seats off of turn 4 - and the race was phenomenal!!  There were only 4 cautions (which is unheard of)  Only one accident (which is also unheard of) and in the last 10 laps - my driver Jimmie Johnson passes the puke Kyle Busch to take the lead, then in the last 2 turns Kevin Harvick (Leo's driver) passes Jimmie to win the race - WHAT EVER!

I know none of my family cares about NASCAR or how the weekend went - but we did and that is all that matters!!  I guess we are closet red necks!!

Here are some pics of the weekend!!
